Liquid Architecture was born out of the Sound department in the School of Art at RMIT University, Melbourne Australia in collaboration with RMIT Union Arts. This 11th festival was curated by practicing artists; Melbourne based co-founder Nat Bates, Brisbane based Lawrence English from ROOM40, in Central Victoria Jacques Soddell from cajid media, in Cairns Nick Mills from On Edge, in Perth Tura New Music's Tos Mahoney and in Sydney assisted by Thomas Knox Arnold.
In 2010 Liquid Architecture was supported by Arts Victoria, the Victorian Government through the Community Support Fund and the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body. Lionel Marchetti and Yoko Higashi's visit was supported by the French Embassy Australia.
