Somaya Langley is a sound and media artist (www.criticalsenses.com) who has presented her work in various festivals and conferences in Australia, Europe, Canada and Asia. She performs live sensor-based electroacoustics under the pseudonym ID-i/o, and previously, was a member of the sensor-trio HyperSense Complex and the duo MetaSense. Her media arts practice focuses on embodied and immersive experiences mediated by technology, to initiate socio-political dialogue, such as the Suspect Backpack.She is currently the Australian Music Centre’s Online Project Officer and Co-Director of the Electrofringe festival.
