Matka is an Macedonian-Armenian-Australian DJ and staple of Sydney’s biggest events for the past four years. She’s played sold-out international supports along with club-scene mainstays One Day Sundays, Halfway Crooks and Heaps Gay, becoming known for her blend of rap and hip hop with bass music, world rhythms and thumping club tracks.

In early 2015, she co-founded local club night and collective Honey, which champions the creativity of women by exclusively playing the music of female-identifying artists through DJ sets and bimonthly events. In 2017 and 2018, she curated all-female-identifying performers at Secret Garden Festival, NSW, and has plans to develop an even bigger lineup in collaboration with the festival director in 2018.
