Jon Rose is an Australian violinist, born in the UK in 1951. For over 35 years, Rose has been at the sharp end of new, improvised, and experimental music and media, working in over 40 countries and collaborating with many other maverick musicians and inventors such as Kronos Quartet, John Cage, Derek Bailey, John Zorn, Otomo Yoshihide, Fred Frith, etc. His work in interactive electronics since 1983 is internationally recognized as innovative and exemplary.
