Anna Homler: Breadwoman in AUS & NZ 2018
Both a voice and language arising… a cosmic storyteller so old she’s turned into bread...

FRI 19 Jan - FRI 2 Feb 2018
Hobart, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland

Liquid Architecture is excited to present Anna Homler in January 2018, enchanting audiences with her celestial vocalese throughout her tour of Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland. Kneading language into music, toys into instruments, Homler’s vocal, visual and performance practice explores alternative means of communication and the poetics of ordinary things.

Homler will be chanting her divining speech and lyrical melodies with performances embodying the character of Breadwoman (an ancient storyteller housed in bread); Pharmacia Poetica (an apothecary of sounds); as well as a series of improvisations and collaborations with local musicians, and artist talks throughout this tour.

Presented by Liquid Architecture, MPavilion, Monash University Museum of Art, Firstdraft, The NOW Now, Audio Foundation in association with MOFO 2018. A Liquid Architecture project curated by Cara Stewart.
