A volatile convergence of Southeast Asian noise, experimental rap and non-linear electronics;. ritual and radical sound collide.

In Inter.Sonix 08, Liquid Architecture welcomes Aditya Pandu Wijaya (Pandu) a noise artist and label owner from Malang, and now based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Since 2014, he has been active with his harsh-noise project BERGEGAS MATI, known for its aggressive and corrosive wall-of-noise sound.

Over the years, he has collaborated with artists like Junko Hiroshige (Hijokaidan), Risa Ripa, Ryoko Ono, and released split albums with The Rita, Government Alpha, Yuko Araki, Fraqsea, Jelena Glazova, Alica Han and more. He has also worked on other projects such as Paranoia Hospital and Kawaii Death Gurll (2016–2019). His latest upcoming project is called D.O.V.E. (Distorted Oscillations Violent Echoes), focusing on raw, violent noise textures.

In addition to making music, Aditya runs Gerpfast Records (since 2014), a cassette-focused independent label releasing music from around the world. Gerpfast covers a wide range of genres like shoegaze, noise, hardcore, indie pop/rock, metal, and electronica.

Pandu’s body of work reflects a relentless passion for raw sound, underground art, and global collaboration, a disruptive voice from Indonesia’s experimental-noise vanguard.

Cutting through these intensities is Pette Shabu, the Quezon City rapper forging a distinctly Southeast Asian articulation of experimental hip-hop. Her work collides boom-bap, metal, ballroom, industrial and rave architectures into an incendiary vernacular theatre; language as protest, pulse, and provocation. On her debut work SPRAK, genre fractures into a riotous, multilingual cipher; political, playful, and deeply embodied. Live, Pette operates at the threshold where club energy meets underground poetics, carving new trajectories for regional rap.

Nina Buchanan is a musician and composer working across electronic music, sound installation, scores and sound design. Using electronic sound and keyboard instruments, her work builds emotionally saturated environments that oscillate between euphoria and melancholy. Renowned for her powerful live performances, Nina channels the intensity of dance music while resisting its linear logic, shaped by a distinctive approach to sound construction and form.

Also appearing is Arsam Samadi (aka Aashofteh) a live musician and DJ. Their music takes inspiration from classical Iranian instruments, Farsi poetry and folk music, mourning rituals, and contemporary noise and metal experimentation.

Annalee Koernig (dj) frames the night with purposefully selected recorded music.
