Liquid Architecture and Gertrude Contemporay present Inter.Sonix 14, centred on Priyageetha Dia’s sound work ‘litany for a failing machine’. The program includes an artist talk and a sonic piece delivered by Pratyay Raha in dialogue to Dia’s work.
Priyageetha Dia’s litany for a failing machine (2026) is a sound installation examining the theological and computational logics shaping contemporary AI and technological belief systems. Structured as a recursive litany using a cloned voice, the work follows a chain of transformations in which meaning gradually dissolves while its prophetic cadence remains intact. The work becomes a site for listening to how affective authority is automated and collapsed through predictive systems.
For Inter.Sonix 14, Liquid Architecture and Gertrude Contemporary invites the sonic arts researcher and composer Pratyay Raha to present a sound piece that responds to Dia’s work through the use of collaged field recording and text/poetry.
Inter.Sonix 14 is being presented in association with salt, Priyageetha’s first solo exhibition in Australia at Gertrude Contemporary 13 June - 8 August 2026
