Aszodi's career could best be described as genre-bounding and label-defying. The Australian-born, London-based vocalist has premiered dozens of new pieces, performed long neglected works, devised pieces, projects and festivals, sung roles from the standard operatic repertoire and collaborated with a constellation of artists from the far reaches of the musical spectrum. Her voice has been praised for its “utmost security and power” (Chicago Tribune) and in her native Australia she was described as “one of the finest actress-singers in the country” (The Age). Recent performance highlights include Berio’s “Folksongs” alongside Tabea Zimmerman and Musikfabrik at Beethoven-Festwoche and in music theatre, Sondheim’s “A little Night Music” for Nederlands Reisopera. In 2019 she was awarded “Performance of the Year” by the Australian Art Music Awards for Liza Lim’s epic “Atlas of the Sky” with Speak Percussion. Her voice has an unusual range, both in terms of colour and pitch, making it possible for her to perform repertoire across genres (from experimental to baroque, folk to opera) and voice types, from contralto (in signature works like Boulez' Le Marteau sans maître) to soprano (like Grisey's Quatre chants pour franchir le seuil ). She has been a soloist with ensembles as diverse as the Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras, Ensemble Musikfabrik, Pinchgut Opera, the Tirolean Symphony Orchestra, Victorian Opera, Sydney Chamber Opera, ICE, and in the chamber series of the San Diego and Chicago Symphony Orchestras. Her operatic roles include Eve (Stockhausen’s Dienstag aus Licht), Socrates (Satie’s Socrates), Aminta (Mozart’s Il re pastore), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Sesto (Guilio Cesare), Popova (Walton's The Bear), Rose (Elliot Carter's What Next?) and Echo (Ariadne auf Naxos). Jessica can be heard on recording for Chandos, Ars Publica and Hospital Hill and has sung in festivals around the world, including Klangspuren, Beethoven Festival Bonn, Resonant Bodies, Vivid Sydney, Aspen Music Festival, BIFEM, the Melbourne and Adelaide Festivals, Darmstadt, Aldeburgh, Tectonics and Tanglewood. Jessica Aszodi

Odeya Nini is a Los Angeles based interdisciplinary vocalist, composer, vocal embodiment coach, and sound meditation practitioner. Her work reclaims the voice as an instrument that exists between the physical self and that which is beyond our senses, extending the resonance of vocal expression and magnifying the voice’s capacity to touch all it encounters in tender, heartbreaking, and ecstatic ways. Odeya's work has been performed in diverse venues from concert halls to galleries, tunnels, and caves and has been presented at US venues including The LA Phil, Merkin Concert Hall, The Broad Museum, and MOCA, as well as internationally in Mongolia, Madagascar, and Vietnam. She is also a member of the three time Grammy nominated ensemble Wild Up. Odeya is the founder of Free The Voice and leads vocal sound meditations, workshops, and retreats exploring the transformative and healing qualities of embodying the voice.

Jane Sheldon is an Australian-American soprano and composer. Jane’s 2022 album I am tree, I am a mouth was listed on the New Yorker's Notable Recordings of that year, alongside the Berlin Radio Symphony and Björk. Flowermuscle is her most recent release.

With an international reputation for highly specialised contemporary opera and art music for voice, Jane's own music shows the influence of the avant garde. Described as “riveting” (New York Times) and “gripping and expressive” (Financial Times), Jane’s work focuses on the experience of altered or transformative states of being and her output includes electronic music, chamber music, opera installations, works for dance companies, and large-scale sound installations for museums. 

She works extensively with other composers as they create new works for voice, touring the globe with John Zorn from 2012-2017, and frequently premiering new works with Sydney Chamber Opera, where she is an Artistic Associate. She has sung at the Louvre, the Barbican, the Guggenheim, and the Sydney Opera House and performed at Lincoln Center Festival, Sydney Festival, Jerusalem Sacred Music Festival, Holland Festival, and Tokyo Festival.
