Liquid Architecture’s ninth iteration of Inter.Sonix convenes four distinct practices operating at the porous edges of composition, noise and futurist song.

Japanese icon Tujiko Noriko presents her quietly radical songcraft of intimate vocals suspended in glitch, electro-acoustic drift and cinematic ambience, tracing a lineage from her early Mego releases up to now.

From the remote Himalayan region of Ladakh, Ruhail Qaisar channels the abrasive force of noise and power electronics into stark socio-political reflection, his work is shaped by geographic isolation and global rupture, this is music as pressure point and alarm.

The instrument builder Rod Cooper animates hand-built metal sound sculptures, transforming industrial tools into resonant instruments of raw physicality, where welding arcs, strings and mechanical systems converge as performative sound.

Completing the bill, Ethiopian-Australian artist Nū uses live coding as an expressive instrument, folding Afrofuturist vocal gestures into fluid systems drawn from ambient, jazz and R&B, where code rewires tradition. Inter.Sonix 09 unfolds as a study in friction and delicacy, where digital systems, bodies and materials collide, hum and fracture in real time.
